CALGARY - The first slip-up of the Alberta election campaign literally went to Premier Alison Redford this afternoon.

Redford slipped and fell on an icy sidewalk while doorknocking in Calgary Elbow but was back up in a flash assuring everyone she was okay.

She continued down the street knocking on doors, chatting with voters and posing for photos.

Redford told reporters that the election isn't about ideology but who is better able to put forward a strong and positive picture of Alberta's future.

Wildrose Leader Danielle Smith is also in Calgary.

She told reporters that the Conservatives have had 40 years to get things right and their time has run out.
