Sh*t Bureaucrats Say: Video Of Public Service Cliches Goes Viral (VIDEO)

WATCH: Sh*t Ottawa Bureaucrats Say Goes Viral

I know, you're tired of this meme. You already swore that watching another shit anything says video would make you jump out a window. But trust me, this one has a purpose.

Canada's public service is facing major job cuts, which will be partially outlined in Thursday's 2012 federal budget. These are the people who already spend their days attending mind-numbing meetings on meat packing guidelines and pine beetle impact studies, and now they have to worry about losing their salaries. They need a laugh. And there's no better comedy than self-mockery.

Enter Shit Bureaucrats Say (actually it's Sh*t Bureaucrats Say, you know how they are about censorship), a video parody of the most hilarious Ottawa cliches, as delivered by a little girl.

The video was made by a group of public employees in the capital, according to The Ottawa Citizen. The merry band, which is choosing to stay anonymous, were reluctant to revive the meme themselves, but just couldn't resist.

Not everyone is taking the video as lightly as it was intended. Writing for OpenFile, civil servant Drew Gough wonders if the clip is a a sign that euphemisms have become so ingrained in Ottawa's culture that they are becoming a root cause of the "bureaucratic inefficiency" plaguing our government.

Point taken, and we really do love a George Orwell-inspired language rant as much as the next guy, but this is a time for the civil service to laugh.

Eat drink and be merry, for tomorrow you may die.
