Winnipeg: Body Parts Possibly Found In Garbage Bin, Witnesses Say
WINNIPEG - Police in Winnipeg say they're investigating evidence that was found beside a garbage bin, with some eyewitnesses claiming they saw what looked like body parts.
A police news release says officers were sent to the back of an apartment complex Saturday morning to investigate "suspicious circumstances."
The release says police found something by a garbage bin, but it doesn't say what they found.
Forensics investigators are at the scene.
Witnesses have told several news outlets in Winnipeg they saw blood and something that looked like body parts that were either wrapped in plastic, or were in plastic bags.
Const. Natalie Aitken told CJOB radio that evidence was found, but she wouldn't confirm whether blood or body parts were there.
