Justin Trudeau defeated Patrick Brazeau in a charity boxing match Saturday night and "22 Minutes" was there for every blow.

Mark Critch gave Brazeau a hard time for wearing a Speedo at the weigh-in, but the comedian saved his best jokes for Trudeau.

Before the fight, Critch ribbed the Quebec MP over the weight of his hair gel before snapping a shot of the photogenic puglilist so the surgeons would be able to reconstruct his face.

But Critch was wrong. It was Brazeau who emerged bloodied and battered from the bout.

That didn't stop Critch from finding humour in the situation: "You were unbearable before, I can't image what you're going to be like now. Pretty soon he'll be talking about himself in the fourth person"

Just wait until he becomes PM ... maybe.

As a political metaphor, Justin Trudeau's boxing victory over Conservative Senator Patrick Brazeau is a whole other story. The Liberals have gotten used to thinking of themselves as losers, so nobody was more surprised than they to see Trudeau triumph against such an adversary. Because really, who expects the Liberals to win at anything anymore? If the Liberals are smart, they won't even try to manipulate this. They'll just let the image of Trudeau wiping the smirk off Brazeau's bleeding face sink in and work it's magic.

He was had close relations with the Soviet Union and Cuba. He was an admirer of communism and had one of the worst relationships with the United States. And no, I don`t watch Canadian tele.

Actually, the fight lasted less than 15 mins ;-) That pu**y conservative got his a** handed to him in the second round.

im so happy huffo let this through. what you said was true. and the usual conservative excuse makers tried to argue things like "trudeau had less muscle so he could fight longer"

if this was true brazeau might have made it to at least the 2nd round. he was tired halfway through the first. clearly this was more about general fitness and stamina than afew extra pounds on the arms. trudeaus strategy and form was also better, first tire him out then land punches
