We polled you about Rihanna's new partially shaved, back-to-black hairstyle and while we love the look, shaving any part of your hair is obviously a major commitment! That's why we love Kate Bosworth's risk-free version.
The actress simply slicked one side of her hair and pulled it back and tight against her head, letting the loose side sweep across her face.
Get the look
• Start with a severe side part. The side with less hair will get the slicked treatment.
• Leaving the rest of your hair shiny and voluminous, apply a light gel to the two-inch section of hair above your ear all the way to the top part.
• Add more gel for a more severe look, less for something closer to Kate Bosworth's romantic look.
• Pin that section of hair back with bobby pins—or a decorative pin like Bosworth's.
