Hockey Violence Animation
Hockey violence caught the eye of the animators at Taiwan's Next Media Animation.

This year's NHL Playoffs have been one of the most violent and injury-filled in recent memory. Virtually every series has seen at least one incident of a head shot or cheap check gone too far.

The fisticuffs caught the attention of the fine folks at Taiwan's Next Media Animation who've put together this video complete with Phoenix Coyotes forward Raffi Torres putting on his rocket skates and hitting the Blackhawks Marian Hossa, a play which actually sent Hossa to the hospital.

The video also spends a significant amount of time focusing on the particularly bloody Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers series which has led to some of this playoff's more brutal moments.

Ok...first... Aisan-naimation is AWSOME.

Second, ya, we should be embarassed. When our level of gratuitous violece is being mocked by cartoons you know we have problems.
These kids are mostly only 20+ a few years. A broken neck or mental damage from consussions really is a big deal for them.

The amount of violence in hockey has become ridiculous. Why even bother with the sticks and puck anymore? Just make it "Professional Wrestling on Ice", and you're pretty well done.
