An east-end Toronto Catholic school will be disinfected overnight, after a pair of teachers and a handful of students came down with flu-like symptoms on Thursday.

John Yan, a spokesperson for the Toronto Catholic District School Board, said that the six children and two teachers fell ill at St. Thomas More Catholic School, which is located at 2300 Ellesmere Road.

Yan said that the school called an ambulance when one student had flu-like symptoms.

The teachers and the other five students displaying the same type of symptoms were treated at the school.

The school was not evacuated and testing found no problems with air quality.
