The Ottawa 67s look to extend their season and stave off elimination tonight in game five of the Ontario Hockey League Eastern Conference finals.

The 67s are down 3-1 in the best-of-seven series against the Niagara IceDogs after back-to-back home losses, with identical 5-2 scores.

As earlier reported, the 67s will have to soldier on for the rest of the playoffs without their captain, defenceman Marc Zanetti, suspended for kicking an opponent in game two.

Ottawa did get starting goalie Petr Mrazek back in game four and he managed to stop 39 of 43 shots. They even led in the third period, but could not hold off the deep and persistent Niagara offensive attack.

Game five goes in St. Catharine's, Ont., where the 67s won game two. The winner of this series will face the London Knights in the OHL finals beginning May 3 in London, Ont.

The 67s are trying to avoid being the second Ottawa hockey team eliminated from playoff contention in as many nights.
