A section of the Yonge subway line will be closed this weekend as TTC crews work to upgrade a section of track.
The TTC will close the Yonge line between Union Station and Bloor Street on Saturday and Sunday. Regular service will resume Monday at 6 a.m.
All southbound trains on the University-Spadina line will terminate at Union Station. All trains on the Yonge line will terminate southbound at Bloor Station.
The TTC will operate shuttle bus service between Bloor and Union Stations during the closure.
The closure will allow TTC to install a new double cross-over section of subway track at King Station. The cross-over allows trains to terminate at King in the event of an emergency.
The project will require a similar closure on May 26 and 27.
