The Toronto District School Board says that Danforth Collegiate and Technical Institute will stay closed until at least Thursday, five days after a fire forced teachers and students out of their school.
Late Monday afternoon, the board reported that Danforth students would continue to attend classes at other schools for at least another three days.
Firefighters were called to the Greenwood Avenue school last Wednesday morning, to bring a three-alarm blaze under control.
No students or teachers were hurt, but the school suffered smoke and water damage.
The fire is believed to have begun in the school’s drama room and remains under investigation as a criminal matter.
