The body of a second woman, who drowned after a boating accident on Willow River near Prince George, B.C., on Sunday has been retrieved by search and rescue officials.
The pair were with two men on a jetboat that capsized late Sunday afternoon after hitting a logjam, said RCMP Const. Craig Douglass.
"We do understand there was a logjam involved. At one point they were on top of a logjam but how the boat came to capsize is not known to me at this time."
When the jetboat flipped, all four people on board were thrown into the water. Two men were rescued and taken to hospital.
Their injuries are not life-threatening, said Douglass.
"I'm certain they're expected to fully recover."
The B.C. Coroner's Service has identified the deceased as Christy Schwing, 31, and Carolyn Simpson, 43. Both women were from Prince George.
Douglass says it's too early to tell exactly what went wrong for the boaters, and it's not clear if spring runoff made the river any more treacherous than normal.
It's also not known if any of the four boaters were wearing life jackets.
