SASKATOON - People were rushed away from some buildings in downtown Saskatoon following an underground electrical transformer fire.

The Saskatoon fire department says crews responded to reports Monday afternoon of explosions underneath the old Bay building.

No one was injured.

The fire caused power outages all over the downtown core, forcing people from buildings, including Midtown Plaza.

The cause of the underground fire is under investigation. (CKOM)
