OTTAWA - A 25-year-old man is facing charges of sexual assault and mischief in a pants-pulling incident in Ottawa.

A woman reported a man approached her from behind and pulled down her pants.

Police say Gavin Sean Griffiths was arrested and charged on Wednesday in relation to the April 16 incident.

Police say there was a series of incidents that occurred between April 14 and May 7 in which a man approached women from behind and pulled their pants down.

Staff Sgt. John McGetrick says the case is still developing.

It would however actually be a prank if someone pulled the pants down on some of these cclowns who think its cool to wear their pants are around their knees.

C'mon, I‘ve seen that prank pulled in a dozen movies over the last fifty years. Obviously this guy is a Loon but taken in context you might think him rather a prankster loon. Other than a felon charged with sexual assault and mischief, “Headed for the gallows!” I got it. It is embarrassing for women to have their shorts pulled down around their ankles but no more embarrassing than a well timed wedgie. Say right in the middle of an assembly. In front of a couple of hundred bold thirsty kids. So don’t go to far overboard in looking for blood. It was not the end of the world.

are you kidding? you think the problem is that women were embarrassed? you don't think it would be more impacting than that to an unsuspecting woman? like, say, frightening? the fact he is being charged with sexual assault should be enough to tell you what these poor women went through.

When I first read this article, (above) it seemed more like they were reporting on a single incident prank. As it has turned out I was wrong. Having read all there is now on this series of incidents I realize that It is far more serious than I originally thought. So I offer my most sincere apologies to anyone who may have been offended by my seemingly lack of sensitivity.

Perhaps you've seen the prank delivered from a guy to a guy, but when a guy does it to a girl is where it crosses the line from prank to something more serious.
