More than 24 hours after carrying out a series of raids in Toronto, police have provided information about what was behind the raids and a number of arrests.
Police say their actions were related to an armoured truck robbery on Nov. 18, 2011, where four men robbed two security guards of about $1 million outside a bank in Scarborough.
A total of 13 people were taken into custody Thursday morning: six people believed to be directly involved in the robbery and seven others who were arrested on other charges.
Police say the raids netted a handgun belonging to one of the guards from the armoured car, as well as quantities of cocaine, ketamine and crystal meth.
Police are looking for two more suspects.
