A float plane with five people on board has crashed near Peachland, B.C., about 25 kilometres southwest of Kelowna, according to local reports.
The Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Victoria has confirmed that a single-engine Beaver crashed Sunday evening near Brenda Mines Road and Highway 97C, according to the reports.
Crews from B.C. Ambulance and Kelowna Fire Department responded to the crash, which happened around 6:45 p.m.
Officials have not yet released information about injuries or fatalities.
