WINNIPEG - The Manitoba government says new, standardized report cards will be used across the province starting in the fall of next year.

Education Minister Nancy Allan says the reports cards will give parents a clear understanding of how their kids are doing.

In elementary schools, students will be marked on a four-point scale for each subject category.

For Grades 7 to 12, student marks will be in percentages.

In Grades 9 to 12, report cards will have a chart showing how many graduation requirements the student has fulfilled.
