House Of The Week: Two-Level Garage, Putting Green Feature In This Canadian Cottage On Steroids

House Of The Week: The Canadian Cottage On Steroids

Some real estate agents are growing worried that the debt crisis in Europe is going to hurt the real estate market in Toronto’s ritzy cottage country, but you wouldn’t know it looking at some of the incredible houses coming on the market in the area.

Take for instance Moose Point, an eight-bedroom, nine-bathroom “cottage” in Lake of Bays, some 200 kilometres north of Toronto. Realtor Sotheby’s describes this property as a “grand custom designed stone and timber masterpiece,” but what it really is is a Canadian country cottage on steroids.

There’s the moose head hanging over the timber-themed living room, but then there are also the built-in wall units for hi-def TVs. And yes, there’s a patio to enjoy the sound of the loons over the long weekend, but you can also just brush up on your golf swing on the putting green.

There’s even a two-level garage to park the presumably many vehicles you’ll need to get here from the big city.

Jealous yet? Hey, it can all be yours for the low, low price of $15 million.
