Off-duty officer dies of her injuries following crash

The off-duty police officer whose motorcycle collided with an SUV in Toronto this weekend has died of her injuries, Peel Regional Police confirmed Monday.

Ewa Domagalska, 30, remained on life-support until at least Sunday night following the accident.

Peel Police announced her passing early Monday.

"Peel Police sadly announce the passing of PC Ewa Domagalska overnight. She will be missed by her family, friends, co-workers and community," the agency said posted on Twitter on Monday morning.

Domagalska was airlifted to St, Michael's hospital Saturday, after the collision with an SUV on Airport Road, north of Highway 9 just before 5 p.m.

Another motorcyclist was hurt in the accident but a third motorcylcist and the driver of the SUV are unharmed.

The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the accident and so far no charges have been laid.

Domagalska was a constable with Peel Regional Police since 2005.
