KAMLOOPS, B.C. - A spokesman for Rocky Mountaineer railtours says a potential strike by CP Rail workers has forced a change in the company's tours between Vancouver and Alberta.

Ian Robertson says starting immediately, passengers travelling between Kamloops and Calgary or Banff will be taken by bus.

He says the company is hoping for a quick end to any CP strike.

Meantime, Tuesday was the 11-month anniversary of the beginning of a strike by Rocky Mountaineer's own on-board attendants.

Robertson says the dispute with the Teamsters Union is still at an impasse, and a conciliator is trying to get the two sides together. (CFJC)
