The Huffington Post Canada is marking a year since it launched in Canada, and AOL Canada marked the occasion with a party at its Toronto headquarters.

The party, where guests heard birthday wishes and got to sign a massive birthday card, was in itself a media event.

HuffPost blogger Conrad Black, who recently was released from a U.S. federal prison in Miami, attended the party, his first public event since coming back to Toronto. The Toronto Sun described his arrival as with "no pomp and pageantry." Upon arriving, Black mingled with guests, chatted with Arianna Huffington, who came in from Montreal where she was giving a talk earlier in the day.

Other guests included Finance Minister Jim Flaherty, NDP's Olivia Chow (who is the MP for the Toronto riding where AOL Canada is based) and Senator Jim Munson.

Here are some of the pictures from the party. We'll be updating this gallery with more pictures.
