Veteran Canadian Olympians to be profiled on The National

With the London Olympics fast approaching, Canada’s hopefuls are pushing the limits to qualify. But if you have any pre-conceived notions about youthful, fresh-faced athletes aiming to compete on the world’s most high profile sporting stage, think again.

Age, it seems, is just a number.

Cyclist Clara Hughes is pushing 40. Then there is the young guy of the group, Simon Whitfield. He’s 37 and is the “old man” of the triathlon.

Chris Brown has produced a documentary for The National on Monday night (CBC, 10 p.m. ET), called “Faster, Stronger…Older.”

Watch as Chris profiles the Canadian Olympians vying for excellence in London.
