Put To The Test: De-Puffing Roller Eye Treatment By Live Clean

A Cure For Dark Circles? We Tried It
live-clean.com

At some point, we've all purchased something whose results were, er, questionable, and didn't live up to our expectations or deliver the results we were so boldly promised. But no more! For the sake of you and your hard-earned money, The Huffington Post Canada Style team is putting the latest products to the test every week.

Testing Period: Daily for two weeks

What It Is: An eye roller that claims to diminish dark circles and puffiness while soothing tired eyes. This roller contains green caffeine meant to wake-up the skin under your eyes. Live Clean's products are reportedly made of 98% natural ingredients and the eye roller also includes chamomile, cucumber, lavender, and milk thistle to calm and soothe.

How To: Shake the eye roller a few times and then apply around the eye--from the inside all the way to the outside. You can apply it in the morning or at night-- but I only tried it in the morning. It takes one roll around your eye to get a even application.

What We Thought: This de-puffing roller treatment came exactly at the right time. Summer for me means late nights and early mornings, which also means dark circles. I applied it every morning after putting on my tinted moisturiser and the roller didn't remove any of my make up. The best part of this product is how cooling it is on your eyes. It's a nice little treat every morning around my eyes because it wakes me up a bit. It didn't look greasy as some under-eye treatments do so that was a definite bonus.

I had high hopes for this rollerstick but unfortunately, I didn't see a change in my dark circles. After a particularly long night out, I did notice that the puffiness under my eyes went away, however, the dark circles didn't go anywhere -- I think they're permanent now. But having 50 per cent of my under-eye problems go away is good enough for me.

The Downfalls: I was dreaming about a beauty miracle when I started using this product -- the magic roller that would remove my dark circles -- but unfortunately that didn't happen for me.

Tips: Apply before bed in addition to the morning. I think double the product would probably help the puffiness around the eyes and it would be a nice cool-down as the temperatures rise before snoozing.

Final Remarks: I will keep using the product just because of how cooling it is around the eyes. It's seriously amazing when you're exhausted in the morning. It's like a coffee for your eyes (probably because it has caffeine in it).
