Terry Paddon appointed auditor general of Newfoundland and Labrador

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Newfoundland and Labrador has a new auditor general.

The appointment of Terry Paddon was confirmed today in the legislature.

Premier Kathy Dunderdale issued a statement saying Paddon had served as deputy minister of the Finance Department for eight years.

Paddon also worked as in the financial services industry as an audit manager with Ernst & Young, before moving to the public sector in 1990 as tax audit manager with the Finance Department.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Memorial University in Newfoundland, and was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Newfoundland in 1980.
