Twelve people were arrested and drugs were seized Thursday morning after two raids in Laval and surrounding regions north of Montreal.
Authorities say that some of the suspects in custody are involved in organized crime, though no specifics were given about their identities.
Several regional police forces took part in 11 searches, three of which were on Dagenais Boulevard, Justine-Lacoste Street and Jubinville Street in Laval.
Police have confirmed that drugs were seized at 3735 Dagenais Boulevard.
Const. Nathalie Lorrain says the operation was sparked by an anonymous tip received in February.
