After nearly three days of traffic headaches, the eastbound portion of the Ville-Marie tunnel has reopened to traffic.
A portion of the eastbound tunnel was closed Thursday morning after pumps used to remove water from underground basins failed.
The basins were filled after a massive downpour Tuesday that flooded portions of downtown and the city's southern boroughs.
The emergency work allowed crews to remove the water.
One entrance, at De la Cathédrale Street, remains closed because of unresolved issues with the system.
Transport Quebec is expected to finish all work to restore the full pumping system in the next few days.
