The CBC is going behind the scenes with an in-depth and unique look at the road through the Stanley Cup playoffs, airing Inside the Cup on Sunday.

Created by NHL Productions and produced by Ross Greenberg of HBO's popular 24/7 series, the one-hour show offers insight into the different paths to the Stanley Cup final for the Western Conference champion Los Angeles Kings and their Eastern counterparts, the New Jersey Devils.

The feature will be streamed on CBCSports.ca (8 p.m. ET) and aired on CBC Television (9 p.m. Local Time, 9:30 p.m. NT).

Inside the Cup gets up-close-and-personal with captured commentary from members of both the Kings and Devils, recorded from microphones worn by the players during the first three rounds of the post-season.

Hockey fans will be treated to a never-before-seen look at the passion, intensity and insight that goes into each game for each player, and the mental preparation required to have the opportunity to hoist the Stanley Cup.
