Gatineau police are looking for a driver who left the scene after striking a student protester overnight.

Police say the student was amidst a group of protesters marching near the intersection of Allumetières Boulevard and Carillon Street when she was struck.

The group had moved away from the general assembly of protesters so there was no police escort.

A woman in her 20s suffered minor injuries. She was not transported to hospital.
