Tornado warnings that were in effect for parts of cottage country north of Toronto on Wednesday have been lifted.

Port Severn, Port Carling, Parry Sound, Rosseau, Killbear Park, Huntsville and Baysville were all under tornado warnings at various times this evening, but all the warnings have been lifted.

Widespread severe thunderstorm watches and warnings were also in effect for many communities in the southern part of the province, stretching all the way from other parts of cottage country down to areas to the northwest and west of Toronto. By 9 p.m. ET all warnings had ended.

Toronto was not affected by any warnings or watches.

The storm system caused a number of delays at Pearson International Airport, which was still experiencing a backlog of late departures at 9:30 p.m.
