Toronto events cause weekend road closures

A full slate of Toronto events means that a number of roads are closed throughout the city this weekend.

The dog festival Woofstock began disrupting traffic on Friday evening and will continue until Sunday at noon.

They are:

- Front Street from Yonge Street to Jarvis Street.

- Wellington Street from Church Street to Leader Lane.

- Church Street from Colborne Street to The Esplanade.

- And, on Sunday only, Market Street from Front Street to The Esplanade.

On Sunday, the 16th annual Festival on Bloor will close Bloor Street from Spadina Avenue to Bathurst Street, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Challenge Run will close Wellington Street from Simcoe Street to John Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Other roads will be closed due to the race in the area bounded by Spadina, Wellesley Street, Bay Street, and Wellington.
