Line Knitwear is partnering with the Canadian lifestyles retailer on the capsule collection.
The new fall-winter line is said to channel inspiration from classic techniques found in Fair Isle hand knitting traditions and also draws from four Canadian cities: Vancouver, Banff, Alta., Toronto and Montreal.
The rustic knits encompass both pullovers and cardigans and feature maple leaves, beavers and geometric tree-inspired motifs with punctuations of vibrant colours.
Helmed by Toronto-based design duo John Muscat and Jennifer Wells, Line is a contemporary womenswear brand which specializes in custom yard blends. The label has been featured at Toronto Fashion Week, where it has pushed the boundaries of knitwear showcasing colourful collections including everything from capes to cardigans and coats.
The Line Knitwear and Roots capsule collection is slated to hit stores in August.
