An elderly woman was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a TTC bus in the city's west end on Tuesday evening.
The woman, who is 82, was struck at about 8:30 p.m. near the intesection of Ossington Avenue and Davenport Road.
Police say the 24-year-old bus driver was turning left from Ossington onto Davenport when he struck the woman who was crossing the street.
The area was shut down for most of the evening for the accident investigation.
A spokesman for Toronto police said Wednesday morning that the woman was in critical but stable condition.
Police have not said if there will be any charges.
