2 shot in Mississauga

Two men are in serious condition after a Tuesday night shooting in Mississauga.

Peel Regional police were called to a townhouse complex at 3480 Colonial Drive, near Burnhamthorpe Road and Highway 403 around 11:30 p.m.

In a news release police said the victims — an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old — "who are residents of Mississauga, sustained serious injuries when both were approached by two unknown males who opened fire on them and then ran off in an unknown direction."

"This was not a random shooting and both victims are known to police, however, there is no indication the shooting is gang related," the statement said.

One had to be airlifted to hospital.

Police say they are looking for two suspects.

One suspect is descibed as a black male, wearing a red T-shirt and a red baseball cap. The other is also a black male, wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and a black baseball hat.
