Detectives from Vancouver's Major Crime Section are investigating after five people were stabbed at a karaoke bar early Saturday morning.

Police were called to the 1000 block of Kingsway around 2:30 a.m. PT to a report of a stabbing.

Three men with stab wounds were found and taken to hospital. A short time later, two other men arrived at hospital also suffering from stab wounds. Two of the men remain in hospital in serious but stable condition.

While the victims are all known to each other, police do not believe the victims and suspect know each other.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, between 19 and 21 years old, about five feet four inches tall and weighing around 130 pounds. He is described as having an athletic build, short black spiky hair and a full sleeve tattoo on his right arm. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and dark jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Vancouver police at 604-717-2541 or Crime Stoppers.
