Man in serious condition after car strikes pole

Peel Regional Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that left a Mississauga man in serious condition.

Police say that a 29-year-old man lost control of his Acura Integra while driving on Mississauga Road, north of Steeles Avenue, in Brampton.

The vehicle struck a wooden pole at about 2 a.m. Monday and the driver had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Police say the driver suffered critical injuries in the crash and he remains in serious condition in a Toronto hospital.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Two other men died in single-vehicle crashes in Peel region on the weekend.
