Man charged after being caught with loaded Magnum

A Toronto man faces eight criminal charges after he was found with a loaded .357 Magnum revolver in his waistband.

Toronto police say they spotted the man in the McLevin Avenue and Neilson Road area on June 17.

According to police, the man fled through a playground before he was apprehended.

Police say that when he was caught, the gun strapped in his waistband had six ".38 special lead-tip Winchester rounds" in its chambers.

The 20-year-old man is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and careless use of a firearm, as well as six other criminal counts.
