Provincial police have set up a command post in Blainville looking for clues in the homicide of a 50-year-old woman found in a burned out car on Sunday.

The body of waitress Linda Bonnette was discovered in the trunk of her car after a passerby spotted the vehicle on fire Sunday morning.

She was found not far from the Vegas Tour bar, where she worked and was last seen closing up just after 3:15 a.m. ET.

According to a witness, she met with another bar owner before she left and drove off alone.

Her burning vehicle was found two hours later.

Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen Bonnette in the hours leading up to her death or anyone who has information on her whereabouts after 3 a.m. Sunday.

Anyone with information can go to the command post at the intersection of Jean-Guyon and Michel-Bohec Street or call the Sûreté du Québec at 1-800-659-4264.
