Two-year-old girl struck by stray bullet in Toronto

Toronto police are investigating a shooting that led to a two-year-old girl being struck by a stray bullet on Saturday night.

Police said that a child was sitting in a vehicle out front of a residence in the Sentinel Road and Sheppard Avenue West area, when she was stuck on one of her legs by a projectile.

The item that struck her was a bullet round and police are now tracing its origins.

The girl’s legs were out of the vehicle when she was struck. She was treated for minor injuries in hospital and was released.
