Police investigate death in downtown Montreal park

Montreal police are investigating after the body of a man was found in Place du Canada, a popular park in downtown Montreal.

A man cleaning the park made the discovery near the intersection of René-Lévesque Boulevard and Peel Street.

Police were called to the scene just before 9 a.m.

A spokesperson said the man had injuries to his upper body. Police have not identified the man.

Police are releasing few details about the case but do believe his death is considered suspicious.
