Police probe York University sex assaults

Toronto police say they are looking for a suspect after three separate sexual assaults near York University.

The incidents took place Thursday and Friday, police said, and all involved a male approaching a woman, starting a conversation and then sexually assaulting her as she walked away.

The male is described as black, 6' to 6'2'', 155 to 175 pounds, with a thin face and a short, black afro. He was wearing dark jeans, a green shirt with a pattern on it and a blue and orange baseball cap.

The suspect may have been accompanied by a second male described as black, 5'7'' to 5' 9'', 195 to 210 pounds, stocky and clean-shaven. He was wearing blue jeans, a green T-shirt and black sunglasses.

The reported assaults were all near Vari Hall, in the centre of the campus.

Police said they involved:

- A 33-year-old woman approached at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

- A 21-year-old woman approached at about the same time. In this case, police say, the suspect was accompanied by another male.

- A woman (age not given) who was approached at 3 p.m. Friday.
