The band's former guitarist Wade MacNeil, who is about to tour the U.K. with Gallows, dropped hints about the tour on Twitter.
"Seems like the cat's out of the bag. Alexisonfire will do one final tour," he wrote Monday.
A spokesperson for the band confirmed all the band members had agreed to reunite. The band’s breakup last year was described by frontman George Pettit as "not really" amicable.
Singer-guitarist Dallas Green had been pulled away by his solo project, City and Colour, and MacNeil was busy with both Gallows and Black Lungs, leading to the demise of Alexisonfire.
However, the band’s spokesperson said both would be playing on the upcoming tour. No dates or details of where the band will go have been announced.
Alexisonfire began in St. Catharines, Ont., in 2001 and released five studio albums, including Watch Out, Crisis and their final experimental album, Dog’s Blood in 2010.
