The winner of tonight's match between the National League and American League all-stars will decide which club that makes it to the World Series will be granted home-field advantage.
Critics argue that it makes the regular season (all 162 games of it) meaningless when wildcard team can play the first two games of the World Series at home, plus have Game 7 advantage if necessary, against a division champ.
The reasoning is that it does make the all-star game meaningful. Whereas the NBA and NHL seem to have no-defence blowouts in their games, the MLB's midseason gathering actually determines something important.
With that in mind, we want to know — should the MLB continue the all-star game rule, or scrap it?
