A Richmond Hill woman has been missing for months and police are now offering a $10,000 reward for information about her disappearance.

Cheryl Rowe, 45, went missing just a few days before Christmas. She was last seen by her family on Dec. 22.

Police say that Rowe left her brother’s house, saying that she was going to visit a friend. But she never arrived.

“It’s as if she just vanished off the face of the Earth. I find that hard to believe [that] somebody can just disappear like that without somebody knowing something,” said Joe Rowe, the missing woman’s brother.

Cheryl Rowe did not have a car and she walked everywhere. She has two grown children.

York Regional Police believe that Rowe may be a victim of foul play and homicide investigators are handling the case.

Those with information on Rowe’s whereabouts or the persons responsible for her disappearance "may be eligible" for the reward, which police say will remain in effect until Sept 18.

When last seen, Rowe was wearing dark jeans, a blue jacket, purple running shoes and a white baseball cap with a green leaf on it.

Rowe is five feet tall and weighs 125 pounds. She has short, dark-brown hair and brown eyes.
