Chris Neil, Senators agree to new 3-year deal

The Ottawa Senators agreed to terms with Chris Neil on a contract that will keep the gritty forward with the team through the 2015-16 season, the team announced on Thursday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Neil, 33, has played his entire career with the Senators, being drafted by the team in the sixth round in the 1998 entry draft.

The Flesherton, Ont. native tallied 13 goals and 15 assists in 72 games last season and currently leads the franchise in penalty minutes.
