Watering bans in effect for Montreal area

Several municipalities are asking homeowners to not water their lawns.

A dry July has affected water reserves in some South Shore and West Island communities.

Low water levels in the L'Assomption River are at a critical point, affecting communities east of Montreal.

A no-watering warning is in effect in these areas:

- Candiac

- Delson

- Sainte-Catherine

- St-Constant

- St-Philippe

- St-Mathieu

- Repentigny

- Saint-Jean-Baptiste

- Beloeil

- McMasterville

- Mont-Saint-Hilaire

- Otterburn Park

- Sainte-Madeleine

- Saint-Basile-le-Grand

- Saint-Mathias-sur-Richelieu

- Saint-Jean-Baptiste

- Carignan

- Verchères

- Châteauguay

- Pierrefonds-Roxboro

- Dollard-des-Ormeaux

- Vaudreuil-Dorion
