Toronto-based nail spa The Ten Spot has recently expanded—there are now four locations in Toronto and one in Hamilton—but more importantly to nail art enthusiasts across the country, the spa offers nail polish and DIY caviar manicure kits for purchase both in-spa and online!
The products are sold under the moniker Get Nailed and have cheeky colour names like Er...Good Morning..., Your Cab Is Here and Did You Look The Door. And the polish isn't just pretty and witty in 22 shades plus a base coat and a top coat, it's four-free meaning it's free of potentially harmful chemicals formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate, toluene and camphor.
Get Nailed's microbeads come in eight shades that coordinate with polish colours plus clear (In The Clear!), gold (Gone Gold Digging) and silver (Loves Me A Silver Fox) and each pot of beads is $6.
The microbead kits come with a polish, the coordinating colour of beads, an orangewood stick and of course step-by-step instructions for getting the look (there are six simple steps). Make sure you either add Get Nailed's topcoat to your shopping cart or that you have a good top coat at home as it's the finishing touch that will keep your beads in place.
If you've never tried a caviar manicure before, it's best for a special occasion since the beads won't last as long on your nails as a regular manicure. Or keep it simple and opt for a just one accent nail instead of doing all ten.
