A feel good story has come out of the Aurora massacre, which killed 12 movie-goers and wounded 58 in the town outside Denver, Colorado Friday night.
A victim of the Aurora shooting has reportedly saved a man's life, according to RT.com. A user on Reddit named "lucasmassey" posted an image on Sunday of his uncle with two women in hospital with the message "My Uncle Greg just got two new lungs from a victim of the Aurora shootings. Amazing that such tragedy saves a man’s life too."
The Reddit page is currently the only source of the story and this photo has already gone viral -- receiving more than 2 million views since being uploaded yesterday. The photo could be a 'before' shot but the mask, however, may also be a CPAP mask, which is used for patients sleep apnea treatments.
"I know if I was in the victim's family's shoes, the idea of your uncle getting another chance would be such a great source of comfort," wrote one commenter.
The alleged gunman, James Holmes, dressed in black and wearing body armour and a gas mask, entered the packed Batman premiere The Dark Knight Rises shortly after midnight on Friday and began shooting randomly at movie-goers.
President Barack Obama was in Aurora Sunday to meet families grieving their loved ones killed in the massacre.
