Toronto man stabbed to death in Vaughan

A Toronto man has been identified as the victim of a deadly fight in Vaughan on the weekend.

York Regional Police responded to a call in the parking lot of a plaza at 8000 Highway 27, at about 3 a.m. on Sunday.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found “several people engaged in a physical confrontation.”

A male victim was found suffering from stab wounds. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Police have identified the victim as Evan Gorgees, 29, of Toronto.

The victim and the other people involved in the altercation were patrons of the Al-Finjan nightclub, which is located in the plaza.

Police want to speak to anyone who was in the area, or at the nightclub that night.
