WATCH: Is She The 'Happiest' Olympic Volunteer?

Make no mistake, no Olympic Games would be possible without the dedication and hard work of its volunteers.

But sometimes a volunteer goes the extra mile and rises above their sometimes mundane job. One example is this woman tasked to direct the thousands of people headed to the opening ceremony on Friday night.

The volunteer's stream of consciousness and deadpan jokes and banter to the crowd was caught on video and it's hilarious. The four-minute video, entitled "Happiest Olympic Worker 2012", has been viewed more than 200,000 times since it was uploaded on Friday by Twitter user @ollygourley.

It's also appeared on Reddit and the Daily Telegraph.

"I believe we're all cheering on the inside because we're ready. We're excited," the woman says in pitch-perfect deadpan.

"I cannot contain my excitement everybody. Today is a special day. We are going to be telling our children's children's children's children about this day," she says a little later in the video.

Our favourite part might be the hat tip to her mother. "I wish my mom could see me now. I'm gonna find the video on YouTube and I'm going to show it to her," the volunteer says without cracking up.

We think NBC should consider her as a commentator for some of the 'less exciting' sports, like race walking.
