Ontario Provincial Police say they expect the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 near Westney Road to reopen at about 8 a.m.

The lanes were closed after an accident early Wednesday morning involving three tractor-trailers.

According to police two trucks were stopped for a construction site when they were hit by the third.

One driver was trapped inside his vehicle for about 30 minutes. When he was eventually freed he was taken to Toronto's Sunnybrook hospital for treatment.

Police have not said yet if there will be any charges.
