LONDON - Add another rowing silver to Canada's medal coffers in London.

Canada sits 11th in the overall medal count after Day 6 with seven medals - two silver, five bronze.

The good:

_ Women's rowing eight captures silver.

_ Sinead Russell of Burlington, Ont., advances to Friday's women's backstroke final.

The bad:

_ Victoria rowers Lindsay Jennerich and Patricia Obee don't make final of women's lightweight double. They were silver medallists at the world championship.

_ The women's doubles badminton team of Alex Bruce and Michelle Li of Toronto miss out on guaranteeing themselves a medal with a semifinal loss. They do play for bronze on Saturday though.

Grade: B-plus.

Big Day for Canada on Friday. Dylan Armstrong in shot put, Jason Burnett in trampoline and the men's rowing pair are all strong medal contenders.
